Mr. Smith Guesser
The Partridge & Richardson token is pretty cool. The beehive symbol has been used by the Freemasons. Do you know if either of these gentlemen were Freemasons?
wdrob
A couple new purchases. The 1889 National Centennial is in white metal and although the silver wash has nearly disappeared it is still showing around the letters. However, the coolest feature of this piece, in my opinion, is that the original 5" x 4 mm red, white, and blue ribbon is still attached and in good condition. The other pickup that I really like is a 1968 - 300th Anniversary set of the first mission on Guam that contains four medals in silver, silver wash, gilded, and finally antique bronze, which is by far my favorite of the the four, and pictured here. Some may not know where or what Guam is (the Social Security Administration did not know and claimed I was not a citizen of the U.S.A, believe it or not). Guam is a United States Territory and therefore anyone born in Guam is a U.S. citizen. The medals were minted in 1968, which was one year before my dad was stationed in California and my family moved close to Beale AFB. Guam is on my bucket list. I intend to return to visit the place I was born before I finally buy the farm. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.........

brg5658
The Partridge & Richardson token is pretty cool. The beehive symbol has been used by the Freemasons. Do you know if either of these gentlemen were Freemasons? I don't think it has anything to do with the Freemasons. A "Bee-hive" was a type of general clothing / merchandise store in the 19th century. The pictorial is a reference to that as far as I know (likely no subliminal symbolism). Below is a postcard from c. 1880 for the store. On an aside, the beehive symbolism of "industry and cooperation" existed long before the Freemasons latched onto it for their fraternity.
brg5658
This is a duplicate for my collection (I have another in NGC MS65RB), but this is a particularly nice early die state example of the Fuld 174/272a die pairing.

Ryan S.
Stunning additions everyone! As for me, these came in the mail a couple weeks ago and I finally had a chance to take a few shots of them. This is my most attractive SLQ and beats the one in my avatar by a little..... Plus 1923 is the year 2 of my Grandparents were born, which is a nice connection. PCGS MS-63 Type 2. The second coin is 1 of 2 MS-66 Morgans that I picked up thanks to eBay's 10% rewards. It sports some cresent toning and stunning luster which the pics don't really show. jpcienkus
Ryan, some great looking NEWP's. Bill, I was thinking the same thing about the 64. My thought is the 64 doesn't have the same luster as the 66's. I don't have them in hand yet. Under HA's magnification page, the flow lines on the 66's are very noticeable whereas not so much on the 64. The 64 does appear very clean though.
