I like the 41-D the best out of those three, but all really nice Bob! And as usual, the images are stunning!

Best, HT

Thanks Sam and Bob. I've been looking for a Texas that would catch my eye and this one certainly did. I've really come to love the artistry of this design as well. Both the reverse and obverse are so interesting. This coin has a nice patina and some very subtle color. I appreciate your kind feedback. I have it in hand and it's everything I expected.

PCGS 55...actually a rather proof-like coin that you can't see in photo.

Wow.....I'd love to have this coin be part of my type set. Great looking coin, jom! <3

Speaking of mirrors, had to get this one. It's a match to the 80-S I posted earlier in this thread. This one is a MS65 DPL. Might be a point overgraded as there's some distracting contact marks around the eyes and nose. They both reside in old no-line fatties and have a little purple/indigo on the rims. The fields on this one are a little cleaner and has nice mirrors.

I do see the marks. Its a bit too deep for me based on images.

Looking at the coin in hand, the only real contact mark runs across the high cheek. It's not very deep. The other marks are abrasions when the coin rubbed against another at some point. They look worse in the picture as it tries to capture the deep mirrors that are on the coin.

As I like them - some color other than gray or black, no major hits, just good ole honest wear, and from the New Orleans mint. And, bought on ebay. (shrug)

It's been awhile since my last post, some really nice additions guys. I've been really busy with life in the past month. With a work injury to adding a new addition to my family, I haven't had time to post my newest additions. I'm a proud first time father of a healthy baby boy, he will be four weeks old as of Monday.

So I wanted to share my newps that I had aquired within the past month. As everyone here knows my favorite coin that I collect is the ike dollars. I wanted to thank greattoner for one of my newps that I recieved in the mail a few weeks ago.

Besides that I've also aquired a few more raw circulated Walking Halfs, a couple of Mint Souviner Sets from the 80's, some 10 gram & 1 oz. silver bars and 3- 5 gram & 1- 1oz. gold bars. Now I'm tapped out until I get back to work from my injury.

And my last addition that I wanted to share is my prized addition and nothing is worth more than him. my son Preston.
