brg5658
Just received this medal today. I can't find too much information on it, and it seems neither could NGC when they graded it. It does not bear a date, but I believe this silver version of the medal was struck at the same time (in 1976) as the copper version indexed on the American Numismatic Society website. Nonetheless, I liked the design. The edge inscription is "Medallic Art Co. NY 0.999+ Pure Silver"

brg5658
That's a gorgeous medal and I love the pictures. Thanks coindude. It's super high relief, so I had to do a 2 image focus-stack of the obverse and of the reverse so that I could keep all of the design in focus. I'm still researching it online now. I'm pretty sure it's a Frank Hagel design (thus the "FH" you can see on the obverse at about 4-o'clock). He's an historical artist from Montana (b. 1933) who designed around 50 or so medals in the 1970s for Medallic Art Co. and is also well known for his paintings.
