A couple pick ups off Ebay to upgrade my Barber Half Collection. These are semi-keys and although not high grades, they are nicer than the ones I have.

Nice one Rons, too bad about the graffiti though, but at least it's not too obvious. I still have never owned a US coin from the 18th century, but maybe someday!

I picked this coin up in Pittsburgh as well.

I didn't include it in my other Threads as

its a special coin all by itself.

There are many, many other Morgans out there

that have wild and very vivid toning - and I am not

after the wildest [ or most expensively] toned Morgan;

but this coin just spoke to me.

It reminded me of many of the Barber Quarters and Halves

in my collection. Its much nicer in hand - that's all I can say.

Here is something I have always wanted a MS Reeded Half:

Yeah, its a nice coin alright, I had to chase it [ sorry to say ]

as I was high bidder for weeks before the auction - at what I

thought was a generous bid - but - as it turns out, my MAX BID

was just a good deposit on the selling price... I hate upping my

bids but I knew I wanted this 1838 RE Half. { Too bad there was no "O" }

Arrived today for my Birth Year set:

It's a true black & white DCAM. The color is a reflection from my camera. :blush:

Finally received this recent Teletrade coin in the mail today (took about two weeks to get it) It looks 100x better in hand than in their images.

Here's the new image of this 1884 MS66*
