Just picked up a sample slab in a old fatty.....I hope it has toning since the seller didn't provide a reverse picture.

Looks a lot like the contest coin doesn't it? At least the toning pattern on the obverse.

Welcome to the forum friend. That 38' is about rimless. That was the winning pic in a contest Bob held. It looks that way cause the pics were taken thru a slab, PCGS if I remember right.

Here's my latest. Nothing special here, for the most part. A decent coin, very cheap and filled multiple purposes.

 

1. Filled a hole in my Mom's birthyear set.

2. Neat older holder that I've always wanted an example of.

3. Very cheap, less than $15 delivered.

4. Even thought the toning is not excellent, it looks nice for the grade.

 

Anyhow, let me know your thoughts.
