I posted this on another forum for grade opinion. Anyway, I like it. My cost after tax, license, tax, tax, and other taxes :) just over $200.

I've been looking for 1917 Lincolns - for my Dad's Birth Year set;

last year I found a neat Phila ...

and the other day... a Denver ... PCGS 64

as well as this San Francisco issue... NGC 63

I also located a nice 1917-S Dime - PCGS MS 62 O/C

No...what I am interested in is off center errors...

my Dad was a straight-up guy. Its his son whose

a bit off center - lol...

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I had some odds and ends in 2x2's for many years

that I found tucked away in my Dad's old desk...

I sent them in last month ...

The 1939-D Nickel is an attractive coin - but not a FS - as I don't

collect them - it doesn't matter that much to me.

Here are the two Franklins I picked up ages ago -

and they have been in 2x2 cardboard holders. I

guess I should have placed them in a Waite Raymond

album for the last 30 years.

Jim, that Franklin proof is fantastic, congrats.

And no, they probably weren't sleeping on the flowing hair. The coin looks severely cleaned, harshly dipped most likely, and absolutely should not be in a problem free holder. NGC whiffed it on this one, in my opinion. Combined with the spots on the obverse, and I believe you paid about what its worth.

Great looking Mercury dime! Not what I collect but I saw this one and thought it would be a great example to own. It seems I think that about a lot of coins shown on this thread. Congratulations.
