Nice looking Newps everyone!!! :applause:

I just got a 1958 mint set. The P mint stuff is pretty generic, but the D mint card has a couple nice coins.

I got this one from another board member, it's been cleaned, but I've been looking for the overdate with the curl base 2 for a while. For an R.1, it certainly is not as common as you'd expect!

So, someone posted this coin 4 or 5 days ago. I couldn't find the post again but, it got me looking. I found the coin on a belt buckle that my mom gave me in 1976 The scan doesn't reflect it's true color. (It's more silver color) I intend to get my Morgans professionally imaged so I can share them in a better form. Anyhow, here's the coin I have kept all these years.

Also, here's a Superman coin I got quite a while back.

Coin + superman....can it get any better :cloud9:

Coming from you I figured the comment would be something like.

The only way it could be better is if it had some sweet toning.

Picked up two nice AU 58's recently from a fellow NGC Board member

1883 Barber's Liberty Head Nickel - Without Cents:

Although I have a dozen XF/AU of the Without Cents Variety,

[ all found in change by my Grandfather back in the 1930's ]

- I never got around to get a certified example. BTW, the

scratches are on the old green insert holder. The coin itself

is very minimally marked.

In honor of the man who got me interested in coin collecting, my Grandfather,

here is a Morgan Dollar from the year he was born: 1889.

PCGS AU 58:

Thanks again, Kevin.

Well now there's something you don't see every day. Nice pickup Schatzy. The reverse looks a little weak for DCAM, but I'm guessing they bumped it up for the unusually strong Obverse.

Wow, gorgeous coin!! Being a newbie, what's an "MPL", and what grade did this receive?

MPL is short for Matte Proof Lincoln, which were made from 1909-1916. This one is PCGS PR66BN. Your reaction mirrors my reaction the first time I discovered the series.

Wowers Bob, that '14 MPL is amazing. Green on one side and magenta on the other? that's the best toning combination on copper IMO, and with the 66 BN grade. That Lincoln is a monster and matches your other MPL's perfectly.

I'll bet you're very happy with this one (thumbs u
