Guess the grade

This 1942 Walking Liberty half dollar appears to be a proof, not a circulation strike. Based upon the photos, I would estimate the grade as PF 65-66.

I do not know enough about these to say that is a proof or not. The strike is very good, I have seen business strikes that good and better, but it was in a specialist friend's collection and over 30 years ago.As for a number grade? If I had the asking price in my pocket I would buy it. I grade these more on strike than anything else, and this is nearly fully struck so it is a delicious coin,  perhaps 66, not quite good enough for more, but well worth owning.

I continue to stand firm on my initial MS-67 assessment.  If this were a PROOF, someone well-versed in this series would have to explain the presence, on Liberty's upper thigh, of the four (4) equally-spaced "dots" rendered NW to SE, as well as the clearly identifiable mark best described as a symbol of freemasonry. This was no inadvertent PMD. Both are precise and distinctive. NOTE: I would not have shelled out $1.37 MM for this coin as I believe it to be prohibitive. 🤣
