Another type 2 quiz 1 1

Knowledgeable seller claims this is a type 2. I’m not sure. Thoughts?

Pic of mark gets blurry when you zoom in.  Use the attached to tell the difference, but it does look more like a 1979 50C Type-2 Clear "S".

Yes, on a 1979, this is a Type 2. HOWEVER, if this exact same S were on a 1981, it would be a Type 1.

Yup, they probably should have called them Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3, and only 1 and 2 exist for 1979; and only 2 and 3 exist for 1981. But noooooo, that wouldn't confuse enough people.

It is out of focus , that is to hard to tell if it is a flat top. It looks round
