Is the line raised or incuse?   I'm not sure it really matters as a coin in this poor of condition would have to be a major error, and even then the value would be significantly reduced.

Ever notice how often coins with interesting marks also are loaded with mundane uninteresting marks? Yeahhhh. Let’s think a moment about that. Maybe the difference is just our perception, and not anything real.

 Hi Chris. When looking for error coins remember that the coin must be in good shape to start with. Finding one is hard enough and if it is all scratched up it will not be worth anything other than face value.
