Flawed dime. Curious about the cause and also the value 0

It is not flawed, it has been intentionally routed out by someone possibly to be used in jewellry. There is a member of another forum who custom makes these coins to be used in bracelets.

I’ve never seen this done to a Roosevelt dime before, and I’m wondering why it was.

Maybe for a small necklace. It has a small hole at the top for a chain.

Someone would have had to be a really committed FDR fan. The design is hardly compelling compared with other cut outs I’ve seen.
