Oldhoopster
I see no evidence of die clashing, doubling, or a 1941 date from a Canadian quarter (are you really serious?). What I do see is a coin struck from a worn reverse die. Here is an overlay from http://www.maddieclashes.com/ to help visualize a clash Alex in PA.
Mohawk
All I see is a damaged coin worth .25. If it were mine, it'd have a date with a Laundromat machine early next week. Alex in PA.
l.cutler
Just a normal, worn 1970 D quarter.
Greenstang
Quote and also the date 1941 date of canadian Quarter appears bet. You do realise that a 1941 Canadian Quarter is Silver so unless yours is silver, it is impossible for this to have happened.
James Zyskowski
There’s an interesting scratch that does look like a spitting eagle. See other thread. It’s not but the position of the scratch is similar 😉 Give me a hammer and a leather belt and I’ll give you any imprint you like 🙀 Edited November 28, 2021 by James Zyskowski Mohawk and GBrad
Keith Dee
I haven’t searched through many quarters but in all honesty I don’t see anything showing doubling on this quarter and if there is 9 times out of 10 it’s machine doubling. I did spot a line going from the F in OF through the eagle into the T in QUARTER. But I believe it’s a line in the plastic holder you have it in. I don’t know if you have extra holders but next time you take a picture of a coin for others to inspect and give their opinion on it would be a lot easier to notice these things out of the holders. Keith Dee
Was a Canadian quarter in that holder and your just seeing imprints on the plastic onto your coin lol?
Mohawk
Quote and also the date 1941 date of canadian Quarter appears bet I just caught this. There is nothing indicating any design elements of a 1941 Canadian quarter on your coin whatsoever. If you're seeing that it's a classic case of pareidolia.....seeing something that isn't there. It's the same thing that makes people see shapes in clouds. Edited November 29, 2021 by Mohawk
