Missing Clad layer 0

Could my 1957 nickel be missing the clad layer.I looks very different from my other nickels.Very good detail for a 1957 coin.

It is my favorite year Cecelia and it is just a worn out Nickel like me it is almost 65 years old

Nickels are made from a solid alloy (75%Cu 25%Ni).  There are no clad layers

Yep.  Hoopster's right.  Nickels do not have clad layers.  That's only dimes, quarters and halves from 1965 and later.

So then it IS missing its clad layer, the one it never had.
