    I decided to check the edge of the coin for any kind of damage and found 2 scratches or nicks.Sorry everyone I should have checked better.I'm just assuming a good sing of vice occuring.

    I found one on US Modern Variety forum that looks very much like mine on the reverse,It didn't have the damage on the obverse side..

    Could my 1957 nickel be missing the clad layer.I looks very different from my other nickels.Very good detail for a 1957 coin.
