What happened to my Collection Manager data?

I tried to access Collection Manager after a long hiatus, only to learn that it was no longer a free service. I joined, but now it seems that only competitive sets are supported and I can't find the database of my collection that I had spent countless hours entering, and which I relied upon as an inventory and record of purchases and sales! Has all my data been lost?

Hello and thanks for the question. There is no charge to utilize the NGC Collection Manager or NGC Registry either on the old site, collectors-society.com or on NGCcoin.com. Please click below and let us know if we may assist further.

My Collection Manager is alive and well, and I am not a paid member. I am not sure why it would be considered a paid service.

I think he was on the new site, saw that collection manager wasn't available, and possibly just assumed it was now a paid service.

I recommend reaching out to the support or helpdesk of the platform directly.

Here are some steps you can take:

  1. Check Documentation or Announcements: Look for any documentation or announcements from the service provider regarding changes in their offerings, features, or pricing. They may have provided crm data enrichment on how existing users can access their data.

  2. Contact Support: Reach out to the customer support or helpdesk of the collection management service. They should be able to provide assistance and information about your account, especially if you had previously entered data.

  3. Community Forums: If the service has a user community or forums, consider checking there. Sometimes, other users may have faced similar issues or have insights on accessing data after service changes.

  4. Backup and Export: In the future, consider regularly backing up your collection data and, if possible, exporting it in a format that you can easily import into other tools or services. This can prevent data loss in case of unexpected changes or disruptions.
