  1. "A couple of years after I purchased the coins in the NNC slabs I had a coin dealer send them into PCGS to be graded and they all came back as genuine." Did you mean to say they all come back as genuine? Tim
  2. I think Sandon, is likely right in that it was a bulk submission. I have gone back to the vendor and I have asked NGC just to verify, but I am 98.9999% sure that is it. The vendor is a trusted vendor and is likely to have done just that.
  3. For this, I would really appreciate a response from the NGC team. I registered another coin that did not have pictures. It is a 2017MO Mexico 1 Onza Early Releases. When I enter the NGC number the description comes up, but no picture. This happened with another coin (also an NGC slabbed Libertad) from the same vendor. 2 times in just 2 months seems like more than a clerical error as it was described last time. Since it is one of the key elements of Fraud Detection, I am worried this is happening. What can be done?
  4. Absolutely correct, thanks for the gentle reminder. A newbie mistake!
  5. Thanks so much for the information, very helpful. Here are a couple of photos, thoughts? It just seems odd that there were no photos, it seems like NGC would do this as standard procedure. Is there something about the slabs themselves, different process maybe?
  6. I am new to purchasing coins that are slabbed and have a couple of basic questions to ensure I am purchasing legitimate coins: When I put an NGC slabbed coin in my Registry, should I always have a picture come up that allows me to see and compare it with what I purchased? I have registered 5 coins and that is what happened. I just now registered 2 NGC slabbed coins, a 2020-Mo 1 Onza Libertad MS70 and a 2022-Mo 1 Ounce Libertad and neither had pictures. I want to weigh the coins and compare the coin weight I should expect, but I don't know where I can find the weight of the slab to make an adjustment. Is there a place that has that information? Are there any other NGC slab-specific things I should consider as part of the verification...
