I was holding the coin on the proof pics and my hands are a bit shaky in the morning ( 4th cup of coffee) thanks for the tips on the lighting. I'm not sure of the pixels on my cam. I bought it because it was cheap (on ebay for about $70) easy to use (uses 3 1/2" floppy discs) and has 10x zoom.

if I ever quit spending all of my money on coins as quickly as I earn it, I might have some funds to improve my photo set up...right now I am just using a sony mavica and my halogen ring viewing lamp.....tough to get details and proper color this way

thanks for the tip Rey, coincidentally I just purchased another Cuban Silver 10Pesos coin today....I'll post a pic of it when it arrives in the mail..

My newest acquisition...another sailing ship-explorer. This coin is from Cuba
PS: what is the law-are there any restrictions on buying Cuban coins? I mean if it's illegal to trade in Cuban goods? If anyone knows I'd be appreciative...I'd hate for the coin police to come and confiscate my collection...

very nice ike's everyone...but it's time for someone to post a Washington quarter so that we can move the dates back into a wider range...

it looks to be a nautical item...I'd love to have it to include with my collection of sailing ship themed coins...if you ever do decide to part with it or see another I would be VERY interested..

I'm no expert on this issue, maybe it's like the Walkers which are often weakly struck in the centers...but the coin looks AU58 to me--please don't take offense. There appears to be wear/rub on the knee, breast, hand, cheek and forehead of the angel and both noses of the men..also the breast and upper leg of the eagle on the reverse.....I know with the bad luck I get on my submissions I would have gotten a 58...is this common for this issue?
PS: the color is gorgeous, it almost looks lightly plated its so golden, nice purchase
