My latest acquisition from the Royal Canadian Mint---the limited edition 8 coin 2008 proof set with the bi-metalic Samuel Champlain Commem...took over 2 months to get here but I scored before they ran out...

First...some big WOWS are in order for yarm's George III 1799...and that Russian rouble is a jaw dropper...speaking of the Russian coin...I have noticed that it is difficult to acquire coins from certain countries like Russia, Ukraine...and this one from Laos...

The coin is a bit milky and I might have returned it except that I don't often run across sailing ship coins from Asia.....here's pics of the coin...

PLEASE:..any help on methods to get rid of milkiness?...does that sonic-cleaning work and is it worth purchasing one??

picked this one up today...a 1943 War coin, made in zinc like our cents were...looks BU but not much luster left...Krause lists at $35 so the $12 I paid seemed worth it..

wow...nice Washingtons...I just came across a few old rolls from the 1930's of Washies but I don't know anything about the series..they're BU but have kinda splotchy coloring and toning...should I have these cleaned/conserved or maybe send a few for grading?..have no idea what to do with them..

Chris...I saw that Franklin set in the catalog listing..you could tell that the guy who writes the descriptions musta had his tongue hanging out.....an original BU-blast white set with almost all FBL's...I'd love to see pics of them individually if you get them photoed....I put an early feeler bid in just to get them on my watch list...but I was never in the ballpark for that set..congrats...
