  1. That was some other things bouncing around in my head. I guess I would just have to take a chance. With the added on cost of grading for what I paid I'm pretty sure I'm just at a loss..probably a loss without grading. Still a pretty cool piece all in all. Maybe one day I can find a dealer that helps with submissions that's not a state over lol. I don't fully understand the whole process and don't want to make a mistake or lose it in the mail. Making connections with a good dealer is next on my list.
  2. Great information Sandon! Hopefully I did better on these pictures like you requested. Yeah i was afraid it was possibly "dipped". In person the mirrors are beautiful but the field to device contrast like you said just isnt enough.. i was wondering.. I really need to invest in a digital coin microscope..I agree with everything you posted. Maybe if they are ever around Missouri. Bummer I can dream thanks again!
  3. Thanks J P M I was originally thinking a possible XF40ish myself haha always hoping for more though. Nice to hold on occasion but I would prefer for it to be kept safer than raw. Do you think it's worth getting graded? I have a AU58 1851 $1 for comparison posted.
  4. Thanks again RWB. I had a question though how do you determine scrubbed or cleaning lines versus from being in circulation or other variables from over the years? Would you just have to send it in to get graded to be sure? Looks very similar to an AU 58 1851 $1 I have.
  5. Thanks, yeah the photos look grey sadly. Does have natural color in person but I believe it has been dipped? With the naked eye you can't see any marks in the fields or majority of the coin just wear on some areas.
  6. Thanks for welcoming me and the info everyone. I appreciate your opinions. Will do Sandon. Have a good evening everyone.
