I didn't see that one on Ebay Dwaine....did I miss it
-
Thanks Shane.
You are right, ANACS 63. I bet you donated it to Jeremy's charity auction.
I bid crazy money because of the reverse and the great cause.
It has a nice tone for an Indian cent.
Honestly I don't remember what I did with it as far as donating or selling or what but I agree it's a very colorful coin with a lot of eye appeal. The pictures you posted look identical to the one's I originally took when I received the coin so I had to do a double take
-
Idhair....I used to own that colorful 1901 in the new ANACS holder......I believe it was an MS63 or MS64......always thought the reverse was something special (thumbs u
-
A few came in the mail today.......
Took a shot on this one becuase the sellers image of the obverse wasn't good so I was hoping the obverse would look similar to the reverse but it's dark and has prints.....if ever a coin deserved a dip it's this one but hey.....it's certainly original
This one has booming luster under the color....I like it (thumbs u
-
Those are all terrible Toyo....what a burden to have to own and look at such blah coins
-
Sy the mirror on the 1898 are pretty good but a far cry from DPL...reverse is nicer than the obverse.....all in all a pretty coin (thumbs u
-
I am like a broken record........
-
I know you'll all be shocked but I added another Morgan in an old NGC holder to my set
-
Shane tell me that coin wasn't $69. That can't be right. Nice coin
No I made an offer for less...the seller accepted but didn't have the auction set up that way so I hit the BIN but never paid the huge sum of $69 lol
I am sure I am burried in the coin for the $55 I paid.....somehow I will get over the regret
-
-
AU50....see wear on both the Cheek on the Obverse and the buffalo's back on the reverse.....could be a AU55 but I certainly see more than a slight rub.
-
I also agree with Rey....It took me like 10 minutes to see the red thread even knowing where to look
-
Not up to your standards Sy....the blue one has a big scratch going right across the presidents forehead
-
I am boycotting this thread after that last posting.........move on...nothing to see here.....
-
Those 1957 Mint Set Washy's are pretty sweet....the sellers images didn't look that good so score one for the good guys
-
Ten coins arrived today.
Uh oh, Lee, Shane, E -- you guys are gonna get owned this week.
Nice coins, really like the buff -- great luster!
Bite your tongue Mike....this means war and I think I might have a line on a nice little hoard......
Mess with the bull ya'll and your going to get the horns
lol lol

Dwaine,
I recognize the first two from Ebay.......and I also saw a lot of Dime end the other day so I assume everything is from Ebay correct? I pass over all of the old holdered stuff everyday and pick and choose what fits my collection or my type set and since I already had two Buffs in old Holders and recently purchased an 1883 V-nickel in MS64 I passed on those but you can't go wrong with them that's for sure. (thumbs u
I like the reverse on that 55 dime ......but I don't care for the cosmic toning on the 1957 dime. I wish I still had my 1964 Kennedy with the same toning....I would send it too you and you would have quite the pair
All in all I think you did well and I am looking forward to seeing the rest.......until then I will refrain from my usual threats related to board members purchasing Old Holdered coins
......but be careful cause your treading on thin ice my friend...
-
This one was always a nice coin except for the flyspecs
lol
Too bad I don't still own it
-
We have Lincolns crawling out of the woodwork

So here's a (completely tongue-in-cheek) question for you all -- who will post the most NEWPs this week:
Elbesaar
Lee
Shane
You guys are buying up a storm!!! I am envious!!!
lol
I had my run and I have no other coins coming in the mailbox as my funds are way past tapped All in all I had a lot of fun with my older holders but I may not purchase anything else until FUN 2008......maye not
-
I am shocked that's a 63....I can now say I can't grade baber quarters becuase that looks like an MS65 to me
-
I have to agree....that barber has a great look....grade?
