I know this is technically not a coin or even a token, and it really isn't even a wooden nickel. It is more of a wooden fractional currency. But it definitely is unusual. (And, it is real wood.)
On a side note, Clarksdale is supposedly the site of the crossroads where blues legend Robert Johnson allegedly sold his soul to the devil in exchange for the ability to play amazing guitar.
 

Here's a couple of bullion products from the Destiny series, (sharing the same obverse) the "Raven" and the "Dragon", and a hologram coin that looks amazing when catching the light in different angles.

I am such a sucker for overdates and pretty colors, I believe this is my fifth example of this die marriage.

And same here with me as well....I've never had a problem like this either.  And, I think the guy who was saying that NGC switched a coin on him actually doesn't know what he's talking about.  Like Conder, I see the same coin in both photos, but under different lighting conditions.  I've only had one issue with NGC's certification since I started submitting to them in 2010 ( it was with a variety attribution, nothing like a suspected switch) and they're actually fixing that up for me right now.  Like you, Karen, I'm loyal to them.  I love NGC.  They've given me the ability to have a little vestpocket sales venture so I can keep collecting coins while I'm working on my Doctorate, they've awarded me a Registry Award last year for my favorite coin collection I've ever done (my birds are dinosaurs collection), they've created this wonderful community that I get to be a part of......NGC has done nothing but enhance numismatics for me and, to me, they are simply the best TPG, no question.  And, like you Rick, I really dig their holders as well!  One of the best ways to protect and display a coin that I know of.........I just wish they'd give us regular guys more opportunities to get our coins slabbed in the black Retro Holders instead of reserving them for the big, bulk submission guys, but that's a very minor issue.  NGC is great, and they are the only TPG that gets my business.

I agree it is the same coin in both pictures.  Different lighting which causes different features to be "highlighted".  But if you look carefully you can see the same marks on both coins such as the pit in the cheekbone and the three dentical hit marks in the right field behind the neck (and there are other marks as well).  Same marks in the same place on both coins.  So once again we have someone making the claim of a switched coin but his own evidence shows it wasn't switched.
And unless this is some rare variety that I don't know about it looks like he paid $30 or so to slab a coin that's worth $1.

Not new but I've been away for a while so I figured that maybe you'll find this 28-D as attractive as I do.  Maybe a good ice breaker to say hello again.
