    It's just kind of for fun. I like these kind of threads. I do appreciate your sharing of knowledge. One thing that is much appreciated about the 1880S is that even a common man can buy this common type coin and enjoy the beauty of a Morgan dollar.

    This is a picture of the coin itself. I have had it for about 30 years. I'm using my new toy for all my coins. It's amazing what I can now see

    I recently purchased a microscope so I could get a good look at my stuff. I was checking out this Morgan dollar last night and noticed the CC looked doubled. Is this common or is it something special.
