  2. Jason thank you very much for that photo that helps my understanding of machine doubling versus hub doubling for sure. Now i just gotta get my understanding of RPM versus nothing really there down
  3. When id ask my question i should of illustrated it i reckon. Black arrow in attached photo is not what i was ask about i know that is nothing. The white arrows is what i was basing my question on. So its not rpm i get that but what it that the red arrow is pointing to?? Is it just partly grease filled die or im i just seeing stuff thats not even there??
  4. Im by no way shap form or fashion the wise thats why i post what i do. Ridiculous as some of it may seem I don't know a whole lot about it. So i ask and thats how i learn. I can look all day long online for answers and never get them since i joined this form I've learned about many coins and even a token i searched for off and on a couple years for took Conder all of a few minutes to tell me what it was. Just amazing the vast amounts of knowledge thats is here!!

  9. This is just a screen shot. As i dont have the coin in my possession just yet. Should have it tomorrow afternoon and will post better photos of both sides then. But from what i have now can anyone tell if it is the real deal or a fake? I got it through a bulk coin and token lot auction i won through either goodwill or ebay i dont recall which now. Anyhow as i look through the pile of coins i noticed this one and i know i need the other side to know which one it is but either way i knew it was rare coin so long as its real.. Just dont know enough about em.
  10. I wasnt sure if it was environmental or toning and I've got the coin in front of me...iam glad you can tell cause i was just gonna call it toned dark and try see if can sell it. But being that someone with more knowledge on the matter says environmental then id rather just keep it than jerk some one around just to make a buck. Plus it wont take up much room in my safe with the others so just as well keep it. Thanks again guys great help as ALWAYS
  11. RPM-015 variety vista is what i matched it to. Now if that is correct or not IDK. But the die markers match best can tell. Iam new at this so chance im wrong but thats how you learn by screwin up. Cause if you never screw up then you aren't doing anything. Thanks again everyone yall been big help yet again!!

Ok so im not old but i feel old..and i very much do just enjoy the hobby that's why im so apt to learn as much as i can as quick as can. Its the only hobby that's kept my attention other than building electronics.
  24. Quick question and ill start another form if need be but is there such thing as a 1971 cent D/S? Asking because i think i found one. If it was on a post '82 id dismiss it as zinc rot but being on a 95% copper i cant very well do that. Thanks jeff
