  1. Seems ive paid tuition to school of live and learn!! I'll just right it on the wall with my other mistakes ive made thanks everyone for responding.
  2. They were represented as S.M.S. and $75 for the '42 and $60 for the '64..guess should of ask on here before buying.. But was kinda a spur the moment thing and id say I got took big time
  3. Not be able to find much info on either of these sms sets. 1942 and 1964 trying to find if there really sms sets or something some scammer put together and screwed me on? I've found some info on the '64 but none on a '42 sms. Thanks for any help I can get.
  4. @Kevine84 these guys on here take time out there lives to help us and @VKurtB is very knowledgeable and has share a lot on these forms so of it to me. And if you'd post an actual question rather than a b.s. comment "Lincoln" you may gain some knowledge from him. Just saying!!
  5. Thats what i always thought why i had it figured as a small date but im far from an expert. And @MN1 i look to pcgs often if im unsure of a coin variety and compare photos it very useful.
  6. Macro lens with back light.sorry i thought i stated that in original message guess i did not.i only have 20 spaces to tag with on my photos..
  7. Thanks everyone and i picked them up so cheap because i got them from an ESTATE AUCTION here local and i was the only one who bid everyone else there wanted the equipment and guns. But then again my luck is there counterfeits..oh well maybe next time..again thanks
  8. So no '82D small date coppers? Or i miss it somewhere? Nvm my question was answered futher down the thread by @Mohawk
  9. I only paid $1.77 apiece for them but was hoping at least one were good enough for grading as this is coin im missing for registry U.S. type set. If not for that reason then i would never consider grading any large cent minted after classic head with the exception of a couple of dates. Which does really matter cause those couple dates are rare and ill neverbe able to afford them anyhow.
  10. New thread as per @Woods020. Same question as the '46 does look authentic and would it be a candidate for grading? 10.32g ( as mentioned before my scale is off alittle as a nickel shows 4.81 this time) really should get a new set.. Diameter is 27.1mm. Also is this a DDO or is that machine doubling one the 1 OF THE DATE? Ive taken 4 sets of photos macro lens with and without backlight then normal lens with/without back light and then cropped. They are label on photos them selfs. If possible please advise which set is the better and ill use that set up in the future. Again thanks for all the help yall give
  11. @Woods020 thank you i also have a 1845 i purchased at same time and have the same question on it do i need to start new thread or can i post them here also?
  12. Yea normally im just here trying to learn or asking questions myself. And seen a question i could answer got me all excited almost for got what i was doing. No matter who answer any questions so long as its a true and correct answer that helps the op thats what matters most
  13. I thought it was a small date but its a med.? They have the ball 6 (or what i call it) or am i misinformed or just looking at the coin wrong? Js im not aruging with you just trying to learn and understand better. If it comes of as argumentative i do apologize as thats not my intention
  14. @Just Bob @Coinbuf @JT2 @J P Mashoke maybe these are better if not ill do it again. Till i get it right. Also coin weight 10.74g but i believe my scale is off a bit cause i checked it with 4 nickels and 3 out 4 show 4.82g ish rather than 5g with the 4th showing 5. I dont own calibration weights so hopefully itll still be useful this time. Gonna order new set though soon. And 27.22mm diameter anything else that maybe helpful to you guys just ask ill be glad to get it posted Guess my real question should been is this coin worth sending into NGC for grading?

  20. @JKK I've always looked to red book but going to estate auctions lot here of late noticed they all use graysheet. Why is this? I noticed also greysheet valuations seem very high so maybe thats why they use em idk. Any light on the subject?
  21. Your not alone i didn't know as well till i came across this one that thought dang that's a conversation piece
  22. Guess ill probably pass on it then! If it was alittle cheaper id get it just cause its neat as $μ¡Г but its not. Thanks everyone for the information really appreciate it.
  23. https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=lot&sid=967&lot=33892 There is the link i found to the one similar.
  24. Heritage auction sold one similar to it i did finally find but the marking where a little different. I dont read the language so im not sure what eithier of them said.
