  1. I'm done over it. I got my second vaccine in early spring. It put me down for a few days. It was awful. When my wife got hers she didn't get sick at all. She must be alot tougher than me. Lol.
  2. I am also a fan of the war nickles. My father in law has several. None in really great shape but still fun to admire. I'm planning on adding a couple to my collection soon.
  3. Lol. I knew it was junk. He just wouldn't let it go. I hit the nail on the head. Now I can rub it in.
  4. I've got a friend who really thinks he has a gold coin. He found it in a jar of buttons. I don't believe it's gold myself. To me it looks like some kind of child's token or something of that nature. I promised him I would ask on here to make sure anyways. Has anyone ever seen one of these? I'm almost positive it is not gold but he seems to think differently. So I want to get opinions to settle this argument. Looks to me like something from Chucky Cheese or something. I could be wrong but.............. I never got no weight or anything from it. Just a pic at his house.
  5. The #2 Moderna kicked me like a mule also. It bout ruined me for a few days. That's the sickest I've ever been. My wife had zero side effects.
  6. Here's one I bought already slabbed while back. You will probably have to submit it in the original package. You can ask them and they will tell you more about it
  7. It's no problem my friend. You never offended me or nothing. I've got very thick skin.
  8. Speaking of proof ddo coins I just won a proof 53 quarter ddo in an auction earlier. This will be the first proof dd coin in the collection. Sorry to stomp on the OPs thread.
  9. If I thought I had a couple dd coins I would have a coin dealer or expert look at them first to make sure they are worth grading. There are many many dd coins out there that are not worth much at all. There are very few that are valuable. Way more that are not than is. I've been searching and searching and only found one ddo in the wild and it is not worth a premium. Just because it is a dd doesn't make it valuable.
  10. I tried to check it out but I missed it. It has been removed. Must have been pretty bad
  11. I have made several. I used them all as learning experiences. Some of them I learned the hard expensive way. I feel like an insufficiently_thoughtful_person on some of them but you live and learn I guess. It can always be worse. Just very thankful for the experts on this forum for sharing they're very appreciated knowledge with me. It's helped me from making more dumb purchases. Message to the OP. Don't feel bad my friend. I've made similar purchases on things that I should have slowed down on and gave more thought about. If you ever decide to make another purchase your not sure about then post it on this forum and the wonderful people on here can help you make a good decision.
  12. Isn't that a real bad infection? I think that's what my dad had when he had sugar diabetes. He lost his feet on both sides over it and had to have a pic line run to his heart with strong antibiotics. He suffered for a very long time before it ended up taking his life. I felt so sorry for him. He was in pure misery.
  13. I don't believe that quarter would be worth the cost of sending in and having graded. Need a better picture of it to tell more about it but it would have to be in a very high grade to be worth it. Just from the picture provided it doesn't look like it be worth it.
  14. I found a replacement for that other 1961 I made the thread about for my set. Got it in a 2 coin lot from GC. 1961 and 1961d. Both NGC ms66
  15. I also use the online form. Once you do it a time or two it gets easier. Can be a bit confusing but just read everything carefully.
  16. They made red, white, and blue holders for ASEs. A really good friend on here gave my son 3 silver eagles. One of each color. He loves those coins. He keeps them in his safe. He gets them out and looks at them every couple days or so. That got him very interested in coins. I liked the American vibe of those slabs.
  17. I got a few Washington quarters in fattys that have these holograms also. As you can see I've never removed any of my GC stickers off my coins. I keep them on there to keep up with the ones I've bought from there.
  18. Is this the hologram or is it different? I may not have one with the one you are talking about. This one changes colors as you turn the slab.
  19. I remember seeing on that show Curse of Oak Island. They found some Spanish coins there metal detecting. The Spanish traveled all over the place.
  20. I like the fattys also. I've got the privilege to buy a handful of coins in the old fatty holders. I really like them.
  21. Same here. I couldn't afford one anyways right now. Spent all my money on getting everything for this new job and they hold back a weeks pay. I'd really like to have one but I didn’t even look.
