  1. If you like tax tokens I suggest finding a copy of "United States Tax Tokens And Stamps: A History and Catalog" by Merlin k. Malehorn and Tim Davenport.  Has a lot of information and then a chapter on each state and the associated tax tokens and other items of interest.

In regards to your tax token - est 60,000,000 mintage and there are 7 major die varieties - the SE in the word "purchase" is the easiest way to tell which variety.  It appears yours is S1B as best I can tell from you picture.

Washington also has paper tax scrip (est 7,000,000 printed).  Varieties here include front/back right side up as related to each other and front/back upside down as related to each other.

We have members that don't understand the rules and need to be reported.

I agree.  I still say some of those of the rules are not as black and white as they appear on paper.

And from what I have seen in my short time here on the forums, we also have members with seemingly personal issues with others and will in my opinion try to use the report feature to bring unnecessary trouble to those they do not like.

  4. I suppose from NGC perspective the rules are black and white - from forum members (as well as admins) the rules could be highly subjective in my opinion since it is humans making the final decision.  But that being said, report away as it has to be reviewed before being removed or further action take.

I would also say to the admins @dena- a member that reports regularly and frequently others posts (whether it be posts from various members or more specifically posts of the same member) may need looked at and action taken just as the person whose posts are being reports.   This will help prevent a targeted campaign from occurring via the reporting tool.

It's sad allot of people especially new collectors come to these forums looking for advice or info and the experts treat them horribly. I'm glad I didn't listen to you guys and went with the info provided. I'll post pics after my SMS is encapsulated and returned.... Thanks for nothing!

Interesting as I am not sure how horribly you could been treated (yet).  Because people do not agree with you is that your version of horrible?  Time to join the real world my friend.  There are very few times in an online forum you will post something that someone can not find to pick at.

Advice or info you came here for - I will give both.

ADVICE: don't be a whiner as you paint a bullseye on yourself for people to pick at your posts.  Disagree if you want, but no need to play the pity poor me card.

INFO: ALLOT is actually "a lot".

Now please let me get back to the discussion between Kurt and Mark.

  6. Not my specialty but most of the photos are too blurry or have too much glare to allow any meaningful assistance to be rendered.  I am not photo pro, but try to get them as clear and without glare as you can.  this makes is much easier for anyone that is familiar with all these minor errors to give you some feedback.
