Let me start by saying welcome to the forum and sorry for the lose of your Great uncle.  I am not one of the great pros that are here to help you with the finer points of your coins, I am just a common Joe collector. What JKK told you is VERY GOOD advice. The only other thing that I would add is buy a copy of the "Red Book" for coins. This will give you an idea of what a coin is worth and the ones that could be worth more. I look forward to seeing more of your coins.

As you have already spent over $299 to get that set of coins, I would call and ask ngc if the would even do what you want. Don't forget the same coins could of come from the Silver mint set sold in April and the ASE sold in October from the mint. I personally like the Limited Edition sets in the original mint Package and nrver understood the great fascination with slabbing every thing.

I do the same thing. I also have got a few books on grading coins.  About 30% of the time I am in the same range as the pros. thus I don't buy many raw coins.

My bank here trades me roll for roll on change. I now have 4 of the deferent W quarters they made.

Welcome to the form. Let me start out by saying I am not one of the great pros that are here. I really started collecting about 10 years ago, but as a kid I helped my dad with his, and one of the best things that I was told is go get The Red book for US coins.( It tells you about each coin and gives you a price) I have never sold any of my coins but someone once told me any coin is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I never buy from e-bay because I read about so many people getting riped off. I found a local dealer that is normally close to the price.

I'm thinking of getting one of each.  100 years from now it might be like having a 1909 Indian head and a Lincoln cent in mint condition.

I use a people use for cross stich. It is on a stand and has a light, got it at Goodwill for $5.

Welcome to the forum, Let me start by saying I am NOT one of the pros here. Sorry for your family's loss. with out seeing both sides of each coin it will be hard for people to give you a lot of advice.  I would say your Eisenhower, Susan B. Anthony, and Kennedys are not going to be worth the price to get graded. The Kennedys are how ever 80% silver so they are worth a few dollars each. I'm sure the pros will help you with a lot of your other cons. I also suggest you getting a copy of the Red Book for coins.

Welcome to the forum, and the rabbit hole.  I am not one of the pros here but I do understand where you are coming from The first thing I did was get a red book. {I got a used large print, made it easy to see the pics).  The red book lets you see if there is a coin and what year coin, that may be worth more that other ones. I invested in some coin folders and 2X2s to put coins in. I filled my folders with the best looking (to me) coin for each year and mint mark. In the 2X2s I put coins that I thought had something different about them, and wrote on it so I would remember why I saved it.  Then went to the red book to see if it looked like something there. I also found a local coin dealer that was very helpful, (all though he would not pay me much for most of my coins. If I had kids I would of made folders for each of them, some of my nieces and nephews helped me with mine, now they get me coins for my birthday. I also may a spread sheet in excel so I know all the coins I have and some kind of worth for them.

Let me start by saying I am NOT an expert, nor do I have a collection that they would ever have.  I have a a collection of mainly common coins that I have put in books or 2x2s and a lot of proof and mint sets from 1956 - 2020. I have had a few coins put in slabs, just because I am thinking some day they could be worth something. I collect for the fun, not for profit, My nieces and nephews enjoy coming over and changing my show case around to show different coins. Some day they will get the coins and I want them to know that if they like a coin then save it, and a coin is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.  So I really like proof sets, and 50 year old set are worth a whopping $10, but I love to show them off. I will never be selling my coins, so I buy what I like, not what the pro would get.

It would be melt about $2.60. It is 40% silver
