  1. I am the worst to detect Doubled dies and RPMS. thought I would show, but thinking this could be erosion around the mint mark. There's only one I found searching on variety vista, that one shows north of the mint mark.
  2. Thank you Greenstang, sounds right I have a bunch of 57s and 58s that are the same.
  3. Interesting piece, really worn, but thinking this could be a die clash. Tryed searching 1929 s die clash didn't find anything. Really cool.
  4. Yeah, usually when I'm away for a bit, then come back to the forum I try to catch up reading threads to understand what is happening. He's just gaslighting that's typical to see. Usually if I know which ones they are, I ignore them. Thanks for the heads up.
  5. Thanks everyone, still hunting for those really cool ones. I finally get to kick back and study some coin books and do alot of searching. Fun, fun.
  6. I'm going through a big bag of wheaties, 1910 to 1939. Found to really bad corroded 43 Steele's. I don't come across these very often, but had to have them. Having fun and learning in the process.
  7. Would this be rotated 20 degrees , if not then what would be the proper rotated degrees. I think I have this coin pretty much centered I hope.
  8. Here's a cool find, passed this up a few times thinking it was just damaged. But taking a closer look I believe it's lamination. I can see how easy this would be mistakenly as damaged and thrown back in circulation.
  9. Thanks everyone, yeah I'm studying out of a coin magazine how dies and the way coins are minted. I'm at the part right now reading the counter fit dies. Interesting, it shows the images of the replica dies. I would never know how people would get their hands on dies.
  10. Here's another interesting piece, had to show it . The R in liberty, I'm thinking might be a grease die.
  11. I know this is Machine Doubling, my question is, when you find this type of none since happening at the last numeral of the date, is the mint press of the coin pressure causing that to happen. I've been researching how mint coins are made , but interesting and fun to know more about how the minting process works. Thanks Also, they call the 1955 a poor man's double die. This coin probably isn't called that , just comparing the two.
  12. Thank you guys, die chips use to be fun to find. Now it's seriously getting old to come across them. But I'm still on the hunt. Not for die chips, but for other really cool variety and errors.
  13. Apologies, i looked at variety vista 001 close but not close. Still researching this rpm.
  14. I'm not sure about this mint mark, wondering if this could be a S over D or what. When taking closer magnifying all I see is some type of erosion or something around that area. Any advice would help thank you.
  15. Thought this would be interesting to show. Thought I would say extra rock or extra branch on the tree, but just die chips. That rock die chip threw me off, because it's perfectly shaped as a rock. So close but no cigar.
  16. Hi everyone, I remember reading in a thread that VDBs on penny's pretty much don't count or has no interest in any kind of errors and varietys.I need to find that thread again. So I have this coin, would this be a ddo or something other. Pretty cool and interesting. Thanks
  17. Is this doubling or just MD? The penny is in really bad shape. It is zinc 2.5. Thanks
  18. Didn't want to push this issue, but is this VDBV error/variety only applies to the 2023 penny. Can these be found on other dates as well. I know alot people aren't into modern coin's, but thought I would ask. Thanks
  19. I used a scope to get closer to the subject, and it looks like it took a hit. That actually doesn't look like any doubling. My bad, and apologies.
  20. Went to the bank and grabbed a few rolls of coins, since I have free time until after the 4th. I went through a roll of halves and seen this die chip on and around the top part of the leaves. Which could easily be mistaken as an extra leaf. Especially what people are coming up with these days lol. My question, the pointed bottom feather in the center of the tail feathers, is that also a die chip. I want to say doubling but not sure. Did research, and didn't find errors or anything on 2021 half dollar's. That pointed feather doesn't look right by viewing other images. Thanks.
