Wow this is very neat, too bad people got rid of the shells when submitting, what a shame!

holy cow, that obverse is crazy!!

Hi Lisa and other mods.....is it possible to return to how it was before the update and get separate sections for World Coins/Ancients and US coins?
I don't like how both are mixed together and I'm sure others have mentioned this to you. It wouldn't be too difficult I would imagine, just add another section.....
Thanks!

I don't think it will. Send it in and let us know!

nice coins OP! Too bad no upgrades!

nice coinwalkerfan, I love the look!! I'm glad your not a kool aid drinker. I see so many great coins and the first thing I always read is "should I cross it over or "will it upgrade".
I'm glad you enjoy the coin, I'm also like you but with world coins, I'm not immediately thinking if the coin will upgrade or look better in another slab, I bought the coin because I like it, need it, etc. -

@LINCOLNMAN For certain series I just go for 1 example and thats enough for now. For example, my collection interest is thai coins and world crowns......world crowns is extremely broad and vast, I set my criteria as 36mm and up and at least pre 1970 (older the better). How many countries are there............A LOT and each country may have multiple types of crowns depending on the year. What I do is browse and find a certain design I like and buy it and that completes that country. I will however buy a filler, usually a lower grade coin for the moment to fill in a empty spot for that country until I figure out what is a acceptable grade I'm willing to compromise on and then later come back to it. I jump from country to country all the time so it will take a very very long time but as for completing sets of world crowns from each country, oh heck no unless I'm a billionaire.

I buy what I can afford at the time and then slowly upgrade.

OP I hope you found out what it is but chances are very high that its probably a fake. First off, the chinese are actually making fakes using silver for the old coins and the look of that coin has the same look as all the fake Chinese coins I see being sold all around asia. Most of the time when members on this forum or others post old rarer chinese coins, 99% of the time they turn out to be fake, goodluck, if you think its real, send it to NGC

That slab is ugly looking in my opinion!

There is a guy on youtube named numistacker who does lots of NGC unboxing videos, lots of people like it including myself. If you do it, it'll be great and fun! Can't wait!
Most Important Collection of the 20th Century
in US, World, and Ancient Coins

Eliasberg mostly dealt with US or was he also into World Coins? For the 21st century it would have to be the Tyrant Collection for world coins.........wow wow wow!
