  1. I believe this is from post war 40s, sadly this brewery is gone.
  2. Thanks to all that replied, coin just sold for $501 plus $4 s&h, I did not bid on it.
  3. You might do better posting your question in the newbie or marketplace forums. This is the forum for registry set inquiries which yours is not, hope this helps
  4. To me the 79cc looks polished, the 83cc looks BU IMO.
  5. Saw this on Ebay auction, I know nothing about this coin, but would like to have one. Any comments will be helpful as I dont even know if it is real, thanks jimbo
  6. Very nice 93o, vf35-xf40 IMO, if this was my coin, I would send it in for grading, just hope it's not cleaned.
  7. Just got the coin yesterday, here is photo of the splotch with my microscope, sorry that is the best it will do. In hand the splotch most resembles the NGC photo, it looks like someone scraped something off the coin, whatever it was is unknown.
  8. I had the sellers photos and NGC photos before I made an offer, which they accepted and was still cheaper than most ms65s. I think the coin was graded properly. Oh, because you were curious $255.
  9. I just purchased the coin last night, not in hand yet.
  10. Thank you all who participated, the very first photos in this post were the sellers as are the first 2 here, I just copied them. The last 2 are NGC photos at the time of grading. No one got it exactly right, but some were close, well here they are.
  11. hey hoghead, just checked prices on ebay, 1940 WQ only one on ebay buy it now price $135, 2 nations set lots of them, cheapest at $275 and the bald eagle cheapest at $65. Remember that ebay charges 12% on total sale and to sell fast you must be lower than these prices.
  12. In the process of buying this coin and thought I would have a guess the grade, will show tomorrow about this time.
  13. I was looking at the points in the 1899o morgan dollars complete registry set to check what the points were when I noticed at the top was a 1881o and at the bottom was a 1900o/cc, I dont think they belong there. thanks jimbo27
  14. Hey JP, just go to collection manager and click on edit for your coin, when screen changes go to bottom and click remove coin, thats it.
  15. What you have here is the bullion silver eagle, there is not a mint mark on bullion coins, the w you see is an aw, initials for Adolf A. Weinman, the designer of the obverse of this coin and the walking liberty half dollar. W mint marks are on the reverse of the proof and burnished silver eagles only. Others may give you more info.
  16. Whatever the reason the seller has removed the coin from ebay.
  17. Thanks Mr.Bill for the infomation, but the coin you have is different from what I am showing. I had no intensions of buying this coin, just trying to determine if it is fake.
  18. Saw this on ebay from experienced seller with 100% rating, I dont know much about these coins but looked at other examples and this one appears suspect, any input is appreciated. thanks jimbo All photos are sellers,
  19. The reverse looks like an imprint from a vise so I would guess that someone put a penny and dime together in a vise and this is what you get.
