During the Internet Only auction tonight at Heritage,
I picked this coin up ... an upgrade to my MS 63
-
Thanks, all. It was a shame my raw MS 65 came back as altered surfaces
in a Genuine Holder... made me a bit testy to say the least.
I went to Platinum Night in Chicago with my good friend Ponyexpress8
and I picked this up for the 1921 date set as well...
-
Just added this to my 1921 Mint Set
-
Ok - looks like we're off commems -
1921... a favorite date of mine...
-
Don't know if I'm supposed to post an Indian Head/Buffalo
or a Commem... all I know its got be be at least a 1935 !!
I'll stay with Commems... now there are enough dates on this page
to change it up a bit.

Very nice Lafayette.....
(thumbs u
Ditto!!
That makes it foursome !
Great looking LaFayette !!
Actually, one of the nicest
I have seen in a very long time.
-
Some great commems all. That Grant is killer.
The Lincoln is amazing, as is the price it is being offered at.
...ain't it though. $18,500 does seem a bit steep doesn't it ??!!
Love the Connecticut too !!
-
Beautiful commems everyone.
Gotta love that Grant !!
----------------------------------------------------------
I have never done this before - but I stumbled across
what I consider one of the nicest Lincoln Commems
I have ever seen on a dealer's web site [ without my
mentioning his name - as I would consider that SPAM ]
Its in a PCGS 67 holder... all I can say is WOW ...
-
Sweet coin, FatMan !!
-------------------------------------------------
to keep this going ...

I just found out that the Dimes I bid on were in two
auctions [ Sunday and Tuesday ] and I just thought
one coin was lost... but oh no !! Heritage just notified
me that I also won this coin too.
Boy, is that kid gonna be a happy camper !!
-
Very nice IHC, Bob - and I love the Seated Quarter too.
Lee, I have never seen one of those medals - so - thanks for sharing !!
Fatman - what a flawless New Rochelle - very pristine !!
One of my 1st cousins has a 12 yr old YN who I am
helping out with a Barber Dime collection he started
last year when I took him to the Boston ANA pre show.
[PNG Day ]
Anyhow - here are his new additions:
-
I always appreciate JOM's SLQ's...
these are no exception !!
-------------------------------------------------------
acan451 - The 1906 Quarter would retail for $45 or so
in the condition I see it in... looks VF 35ish from the images.
If the surfaces are unmolested - its a keeper !
-
For anyone who is interested, here is the link to
Heritage's My Consignment Page - there are more
than just Barbers - and also - many of the Barber
Nickels and Dimes were pulled out of the Pre-ANA
and put into a Post-ANA sale.

Check out Charmy's web site: ThePennyLady.com -
she has another 1921 Cent in PCGS 65 RD - and its
a blazer - cost 50% more than the RB - and I'm happy
with RB [ my luck with RD's stinks - they all go RB anyway ].
I'd like to find a matching 21-S Cent now - all part of my
Mother's birthyear set.
Most of my friends laugh about her being born in
an expensive year. At least there's just one quarter,
my Dad was born in 1917 - and there are six quarters.
Lets not discuss the Halves for 1917 & 1921...

Well, this draws my contributation to this Thread to a close.
Its been alot of fun assembling the complete Barber series
and now, its time to move onto another series.
Here are the last three coins in my Quarter collection:
