A few years ago when this chat forum was at its height I would visit two maybe three times a day and even thou I didn't post a lot I've always greatly enjoyed the reading of others and always found them interesting. But when NGC made all these changes as others have mentioned in this thread I had a hard time dealing with this because I had trouble login on and when I was able too it would never save my login info so after a while of seeing the forum go to (down under) and I don't mean Australia I just wandered off to other sites and the journal seemed to have suffered as well and to this day they are still pretty much dead with only a few handful of members that post as well as respond to others journals. I truly hope to see NGC forums get much better with more people posting.

Hi
I hope you can help me with this problem. I won a Stacks auction lot last month 06/27/2020 which included a NGC graded Iceland 1931 5 Aurar in MS-65 Cert # 3886834-025.. I noticed what I thought was lint on the slab and when I received the lot late last week I was very disappointed to see that this white stuff was in the slab and looks like it was from the white insert material ..that was stuck to the insert and while the coin was place in to the insert was when the debris was transferred on to the coin. I included some pictures......Please advise me what to do and would there be a charge to me to have this removed. I would also like to have my collection name on the new label Robertsson Collection ...I know I'm asking a lot.....Thank you for your time in this matter...

Ah okay. I got my wires crossed on that one. Maybe she did too.
Looking at it, I'd say your first post / thought is right and it'd be $17 per reholder. Because there is nothing saying that the $12 reholder is to a scratch resistant one and there's nothing on the "Upgrade to Scratch-Resistant Holder" that says you don't have to pay the $5 for it over a standard reholder.
BTW, have you seen the Mega Reholder? Ouch!
Well I see that you understand what I was asking....Thank You And yes the mega reholder cost is rather insane...But then again to holder any coin that can be as much as 28 mm is insane on its own.

Yeah, getting these things reholdered isn't cheap. I can definitely understand why some people say that if they get a coin in a holder that looks beat to hell they just send it back / return it to the dealer because it's not as simple as just saying, "Oh I'll get it reholdered later." That can be quite cost prohibitive unless you have a large budget.
The thing is that I asked if the price of $12 dollars also includes the scratch resistant holder.....I don't know why she answered me the way she did.

Dear Iceman,
Thank you. The cost to reholder will be $12 per coin plus return shipping, insurance and handling as long as the coins are valued $10,000 or less per coin. We do not offer bulk pricing for re-holders.
Thank you,
Lisa
So the cost with the scratch resistant holder will be $12 dollars each?????

I want to have my collection of NGC graded coins to be reholdered with the scratch resistant holder and I was wondering what each coin would cost me. all the coins are of normal size and all the coins are under $500 in value. is the $12 cost for reholding includes the scratch resistant holder or is that going to be $5 more for the total of $17 dollars per coin and also can I have my collection name on the label as well at no additional cost...... Is there a bulk rate
Thank you

I just sent in a bunch of coins yesterday and I just read this now.....Oh boy I don't think I can wait that long maybe I should have them mailed express over night if that will make a difference. I'm going to have to call NGC to ask them.

Hello Iceman,
You can print out another pdf submission form and write page 2 on the second one so to make it one submission.
Thank you,
Lisa

What do I do since the online printable submission forms only have 15 spaces for coins to be submitted while I may have as many as 30 coins.
Please Help

Since you have gotten some great advise to how to deal with all your coins I'm going to cut to the chase and ask you if you have any MS-60 and up Icelandic coins.....It might be a shot in the dark since not to many people have collected these coins and the coins from the mid sixties and older are the tough coins to find in really nice condition. so if you have the time to look for me I would very much appreciate your effort.
Thank you
