Generally, in the beginning you start out by searching pocket change.  Then maybe you pickup a few rolls.  Then maybe a box.  And you'll come across coins that look exceptional.  But only in the perspective of what you've been seeing in pocket change or circulated coins.  When you make the next step to just looking at uncirculated coins a lot, and I mean a lot, it's a training exercise, then you'll see how far off from even MS65 that most pocket change is.  But the good thing about this hobby is that you can work your way up and progressively get to where you're looking at better and more valuable coins along the way.

Hey @CRAWTOMATIC, I've decided "not to participate" in the move to a cashless society. I refuse to use debit cards regularly. I will actively continue to use cash everywhere I go and in all situations possible. Call it "my quest". I intend to push back HARD against this dopey idea, INCLUDING in London this fall, and I hear they are on the very brink of being cashless now. I will push back hard even over there.

I agree with @Just Bob. That pitting I see troubles me. I collect high end Indian cents and if anything, the IHC series is known for its immaculate fields.

Normally I never wear gloves, they're not really recommended, BUT if you must wear cotton gloves, then you absolutely must have that padded surface below. The reduced dexterity with gloves makes the pad a true asset to have.

I agree this guy is beyond help. Where do these people come from? The funniest part about it is that it would literally be no trouble at all to build one of these sets in the exact same holder with the 1885 O Morgan dollar. We literally had dozens of these exact same holders (some with 1885 O Morgans) laying around when silver last skyrocketed. I should see if we still have the empty holders. Maybe he would like to add some more to his “unique” collection.

Yes it would be difficult to do so. that is a very old holder, the exact style probably having been discontinued almost 50 years ago.  Hard to locate 50 year old holders, most of them were discarded decades ago.  The coins on the other hand are readily available.

Where? Yes, I also see big retail markups on these, but you'll never get that value back out of them. There are too many 70's out there and no dealers will want to pay YOU any premium for a 70. MS/PF70 coins are the theft that keeps on stealing from you, unless you buy them raw and get them slabbed and get 70's.
 
Put another way, the buy/sell spread on 70 graded ASE's is an obscenity wrapped in a con.
