I made coin rings as a kid. They have a smooth outside and the features are turned to the inside. Not sure how one could push the center to one side to get features inside and out without smushing the inside features. To me this looks manufactured and not from a coin. If you make a ring that wide the inside is real small.

this is not a strike thru. the lines are grooves in the face of the die. sometimes called feed finger damage.

If you want to delete all coins in a registry set yes. Bring up the set and at the top select edit set. pick delete set. It will ask you if you want to remove these coins from all sets.

Not sure what you mean. I just ordered the Proof 2022 ASE from the mint today. Says back ordered. It also says no mintage limit and you can buy as many as you like. I ordered 6

I had tried to do that. I was missing the part where you drag the column over. works great and blank sorts to the top

Is there a way locate coins that do not have owner comments? I thought it could be done somehow in the old collectors society registry manager.

I could not figure out a way to do it.

When viewing "my competitive sets" the sort button only has sort by points. At one time we could click on the column headers to sort by that column. I have a lot of sets and would like to see them sorted by "Rank".  I like to work on the highest rank ones first but it is hard to locate them.  Its also nice see how many are in the top ten.

Actually the most fair thing would be to allow people to put in coins but put a hold on the points till they have completed the process by adding a description and then a photo. Then we would be able to see the holder and any notations on it like variations and errors.

I have been adding alot of photos lately to my sets. Filling in the holes not filled by an NGC photo. However I noticed that it didnt seem to matter to my point score. I see other sets with little or no photos. It seems like there should be a bonus for photos

The date is very important. The 2005 thru 2010 mint sets had a satin finish. (SMS coins)

Peace dollars are on the vamworld site as well as morgan dollars. There are a lot of variations to each date and mint mark. You can go there to see if yours is listed.

The site does not include the modern ones that just came out.

on further looking I see that it is from a limited edition set. Is that the reason for the extra points?

There are a bunch of us tied at #2  We all have the same points per coin. However the #1 slot "buckeye silver 92 to date silver roosevelts" has 201 points for the same coin we have 76. why is this? the slot in question is 2019-s. also I have all my picutures for my coins he doesn't?

Some people put in a very high initial bid so they don't have to watch the auction.  They then get bumped up to over retail by other bidders.

I was bidding on a old book and at the last moment I hit too many zeros and bid of 500 instead of 50. I was out bid. I almost had a heart attack.

The book was worth about 100.

I picked up about 10 of the penny coins at a coin show from a dealer junk box. I believe I got all for $2 and they were in good condition.

I don't collect british but thought they were somewhat like us large cents and were neat.

It looks like post mint damage. The A is cut thru. Die gouges are raised as the gouge is in the die not the coin.

The reeding is done as the coin is pressed.

In the above explanation read the line about autofill. You can have your set auto populated all at once. Not much easier than that

I peal them off any coin I get that has one. Use a little goo gone to get the crud off.

Yes they are identical on all 17 pieces. So something messed up the die face. The feed finger thing is a possibility. I have seen that on morgan and peace dollars. Several of the VAMs I have are are listed as feed finger gouges. There are also VAMs listed a die gouges due to filing the die face.  I just dont know If with modern dies if anyone files them any more.

It is a die gouge from polishing the die face. I have found 17 identical coins in the search of 10 rolls. It looks more impressive in person. I had to hold it at an angle to the light to photograph it. The gouges are pretty deep and run straight across the die face from one side of washington to the other.

I was looking thru rolls of the new quarter (crossing the Delaware) and came across this huge die gouge.

Just wondering if anyone else has found these. It is on both sides of washingtons neck. I thought it
