If he really wanted to sell the coins he probably would have left the price as is or maybe even lowered it. Probably thinks that there's no reason to sell it for less than a what he bought it for or its value. How often do you find irradiated coins.
If you want the coin you should simply just send him a a message what you're willing to make an offer he might take it. Good luck.

Great looking coin.
Your photograph is better than the one on NGC. Coin looks like it is about the size of a 50-cent piece. Nice.

I would hope that NGC and PCGS keep documentation on who graded the coin. I'm not sure how the grader gets paid, if it's by each coin or by the hour or maybe a commission based on the value of the coin. If NGC needs an extra day to verify the coin mint mark and label I'm certainly willing to wait.

It's too bad they don't have a 3D CAT scan of coinage to determine the grade. Maybe artificial intelligence will be the next step in grading coins. Take the human error out of coin grading.
