It looks like it's Morgans or nothing in this thread. I'm done. No one has a chance to post anything different.

I don't think the coin will grade no matter what is done to it. It's not an UNC.

It is really poor etiquette to post low-ball comments about a pending auction, especially when the auction is for the benefit of a coin club.
I agree, it's not cool to trash an active auction and it's been that way from the start of coin forums. Good people get hurt and it opens the door for other types of harassment. It's auction interference.
Lets say you have an item listed at auction. It would not be fair to trash someone trying to sell the same item.
Try going to a live auction in person. Stand up and tell everyone to not bid on an item. How long would it take for the auction company to boot you out the door?
Go to a coin show and stick your nose in the middle of a dealer trying to sell a coin to a customer. That dealer is going to tell you to leave or have security make you leave.
The OP came here to promote his coin club and the hobby. That's pretty cool in my book.

Thanks for the information. If none of these have been found in silver clad, I feel sure I don't have one.
I let the batteries in my scale go old and leak but I'll come up with an exact weight. That should nail it down.

1972 IKE dollar, no mint mark. Variety 3.
They should be Copper-Nickel Clad.
What would cause the copper layer to not show on the edge of the coin?
Have any of these been found in silver clad? -
