  1. I bought this 6 years ago after someone freshly dipped it. It has been sitting in my Dansco ever since. I think it is about time to send it to our hosts for a grade.

What do you guys think it will grade and do you like the secondary toning?

Super clean fields..MS 67 would be my guess.

I sent it to NGC yesterday and I will let everyone know what the grade when I find out. I am hoping for MS64+ or MS65. I purchased it raw at MS64 price.

  2. An early post mentioned a Peace dollar scandal. What was it?

An artificially toned Peace Dollar ended up in an NGC slab in 2006 and was put up for sale with a huge price tag by Anaconda Rare Coins who specialized in rainbow toned coins. It was nicknamed Peacegate on the forums. I used to have a photo of the coin but I can't seem to find it anywhere. And the only thread I could find about it is linked below.

    Hi Paul,

The images are too small to read the labels...what exactly are these? They are cool whatever they are!

They were privately minted by the FSNC (Full Step Nickel Club) with Felix Schlag's original award winning design. They forced him to make drastic changes to his design before minting, especially the reverse. There were 1,938 sets minted and encapsulated by SEGS and this is set #820.
