Moving on up, to the east side, to a deluxe apartment in my registry set. Population 24/2
-
Some new registry additions:
PCGS Jeffersons don't get many points, but finding better coins for these date/mm will be very difficult no matter the TPG.

Nice cheek!

I have not purchased a coin in over a year – how about some poker chips !!
I buy and sell them all the time (at face value).
You appear to be hiding the green chips. Those must be the $10.00 chips?
Green Chips are $25 .
That is correct. Certain colors of chips are consistent in every casino: Black $100, Green $25, Red $5. The other colors change from casino to casino. At Borgata, the $10 chip is blue and is only used in the $40-$80 Limit Holdem & mixed games and $10-$20 NLH games in the poker room. The $20 chip is yellow and is used in $60-$120 & $80-$160 Limit Holdem & Mixed games. The yellow chip is also used in the Asian pits because many of the games have a 5% commission which creates the house edge. Using $20 chips alleviates the need for the dealers to have quarters.
Not a coin or new acquisition per se, but I have never shared it before. The yellow chip shown above was a commemorative chip from the inaugural Borgata Poker Open which used to be a $10K buy-in event in September but has dropped to $3500 buy-in over the last few years.

How about a toned Sac
-
This might be the nicest MS66 Jefferson in my entire collection.

i like your 44 s nickel pccoin. very nice indeed
I agree, how about a 44-D to go by it's side.
-
How do I not participate in this series.
While I consider the photos to be good, the eye appeal of this coin can't be fully appreciated without seeing it in hand. Just an incredible coin, one of the very best in my collection.

Thanks to Shane (a/k/a Kryptonitecomics) for working with me for a partial cash sale/trade on this rainbow toned Peace Dollar.
Don't let Jerseycat see that beautiful Peace Dollar, he may have a breakdown if he does. One of the best toned Peace Dollars I have ever seen. Congrats!

A few scattered marks prevent a higher grade.

So this downgrade cost me 181 registry points, but I never liked the coin I had in that slot. Always thought it was overgraded.
In with the new,
out with the old,

WOW, that is amazing.

Take a look at this lot of Jefferson Nickels that I picked up from the recent Sacramento Signature Sale
And here comes the HAMMER!
They now reside in my album collection.

It is really becoming difficult to find any upgrades to my war nickel set. Despite the small disturbance to the steps and the lack of color compared to it's predecessor, this coin is still a monster. The luster on this coin is stupendous.
So CLEAN!

Some crackouts for my Jefferson Nickel album collection.

I am going to say it has been dipped and retoned and the luster may not be good enough to support a higher grade.
