I've noticed that several of your recent purchases have similiar gold/red/brown toning. Do you know anything about how these were stored? Are they from the same source?
-
Love that toning - I'll bet it looks even better in hand.

Looking forward to seeing them. (thumbs u

The Dansco album is complete and
all are equal to the certified coins I have been posting recently.
Can you post a pic of the completed Dansco?
-
If everyone feels that they would rather not have me post
anything from my collection - so be it.
Keep 'em coming!
I'm sure Sam was just making a joke.

I got all excited when I saw the date, but, alas, I see no "S."
Great looking coin, though! (thumbs u

If you are going to do a set of Barber's, that's a good start!
I agree! (thumbs u

Hey Just Bob,
You got that coin for a steal! and most of brwnprkns items didn't do to well, at least with the ms67 dimes.
Roosevelts that are not FT or FB seem to have cooled off considerably recently. Still, assuming Matt's pics are accurate, the Teletrade pics didn't do this particular coin justice. It's a great looking coin, with the only major flaw being the marks just below the flame, and I won it for much less than my high bid.
Sorry, Matthew.

Picked this up from the boys at Coin Rarities Online last week. They are a real pleasure to deal with and they use Mark Goodman for their images so what you see is what you get (thumbs u
Wow!!
I don't think that I have ever seen a proof Braided Hair cent before. Do you know what the mintage was for this coin, and how many are known to exist?

Welcome to the forum!

I wouldn't call that just another Carson City seated dime. I would call that just another crusty meaty juicy original eye appealing heckuva Carson City Seated dime.
Plus, it is the "low mintmark" variety. (thumbs u

Cool wartime trio, Irvin! (thumbs u

Found it. I have a feeling that there might be more color than is evident in the Heritage pics - especially on the reverse. The close-ups just reinforced that feeling.
-
I would love to see a close-up of that '14-D. Does it look as good in hand as your pic makes it appear?
-
Keep in mind that these all come from my dad, who could actually be certified as crazy. He also loves ludicrous conspiracy theories (he insists the moon landing was filmed in New Mexico, among other things, just to give you an idea).
I would love to meet this man!

Yes - PCGS AU58.
Is it silly to have a "favorite grade"? 'Cause I think AU58 is mine. Tons of eye appeal, fraction of the MS cost.
A very common-sense approach, in my opinion.

Well I just purchased a few more roosies!!
You just can't stop yourself, can you?
-
Well I am still adding to Roosie set!!

Post a close-up of this one when you get it, if you don't mind. I would like a better look at the reverse. The mint mark looks re-punched, and I'm wondering if the lower part of the torch might have been the result of a grease filled die.
