1867 5c J566 NGC PF61 Pop of 34.
I considered sending you a PM about that coin, but I can see it wasn't necessary.
Nice coins, everyone!

Nice roosies there Bob.The only one I question is the 57'D. Looks like it has a fingerprint on it???
That one and the 47-D were both a case of buying the slab, not the coin.

I threw out some lowball bids on these tonight in the DLRC auction, and won all of them.
I don't normally buy below MS 67 when it comes to Roosevelts, but I couldn't resist the old no-line NGC slabs.

Well I was finally able to get my 1983 No-S Dime!!

In my opinion the guy that started this thread years back had probably been drinking at the time...
I'll go slap the guy that started the thread if he won't agree.

Those are some fabulous patterns, Sir Payne!
Thanks for sharing these patterns. Its a very rare treat.
I really hate to leave them behind without acknowledging how special they are, and pointing out their rarity:
J-410 Proof 65 cameo, ex-Eliasberg - Low R6 (21-30 known)
J-413 Copper Proof 66 RB - R5 (31-75 known)
J-605 Proof 64 - R5
J-618 Proof 65 - R4 (76-200 known)
J-666 Proof 64 - R4
J-676 Proof 63 - R4
Amazing!

1894-O - PCGS 58
Are you assembling a 55 set and a 58 set, or are these for one high AU set?

As much as I love it, it's not the correct type or date.
Hum a one cent is not the same as a one cent. I am sorry I made that mistake.
I think we are supposed to stay within series - thus while its lincoln's we aren't supposed to post a large cent. I think its supposed to be same series or same year, not same denomination. Don't worry, no problems, no hurt feelings. Its a nice coin regardless of where it fits in the game.
Patterns ought to be considered wild cards. (wild coins?)

Wow! That's quite a package!

I'm just starting to study the proof Franklins, with expected entry into the series starting mid-year.
I like the way you think, Jason. Familiarizing yourself with the series before starting to buy is just plain smart! New collectors should take note. (This is a lesson which I learned the hard way.)

And I agree about Monty's Buffalo's - great looking coins!! I love that 38D. It looks like it is brass plated!

I am very sorry to hear about your father passing. It is great, however, that you were able to spend his last birthday with him, and what a great experience to win the coin that he told you to bid on!
