Are you looking for a middle-aged guy to adopt?
-
This one is considerably rarer than the 1856.
Total mintage of 80?!!
Yep, I call that rare!
Is it graded? If so, what is the grade?
-
WOW ... Just WOW!
I second that! That isn't your average, run-of-the-mill Flying Eagle!

Looks more like a 64 "gr"

Cool encased nickel, Kevin!

Fletcher, when you said "copper" in your 20 cent piece post, did you mean as in J-1412?!
Yes Bob ... nice catch
That is a High R6 pattern!!
Any idea how many of the 1804 quarters are believed to still exist?
-
Can we back up a couple of pages, please?
Fletcher, when you said "copper" in your 20 cent piece post, did you mean as in J-1412?!
BTW, do you guys realize that the 1804 quarter that he posted has a total mintage of less than 7000 pieces?

I'm just stunned at the moment. I was trying to win another coin and ended up winning this 1982 Large Date Zinc Cent in MS67 for $15 AFTER shipping. This is a Pop 16 TOP POP cent! I didn't even realize what I was bidding on at the time! I thought it probably had a pop in the hundreds and I wasn't even sure I wanted to bid. Now I'm estatic!
Don't you just love it when this kind of stuff happens?!

This may be so obvious that it doesn't need to be said, but I think that the first thing that a new collector should purchase is a Red Book.

Welcome to the forum Jack!
Nice Morgan, nice pictures, but man, you have some funny looking fingers!
Are you a puppet?!
I know, I know - They're gloves. Good move on your part, Jack!

PS: the sculptor who made the statue I use for my avatar wasn't bad either...think his name was Augustus St Goodens or something like that...

Wow! I like that one!

Someone needs to go to the library
Heath did not illustrate the Dallin medal, However, this medal
is illustrated in the book by Rell G. Francis "Cyrus E. Dallin;
Let Justice Be Done" as Figure 246, page 241
Let us know what you find when you get back, Mike.

That is the Turner medal - Storer 1558. Note the signatures to the right of the boat on the obverse(?) and in the wave to the right of "in" on the reverse.
Really nice medal, though. (thumbs u

I don't have any Barbers, but I'm enjoying yours, so, keep it up! (thumbs u

Nice Morgan, Harv. (thumbs u I agree with the others - looks ms65 from the pics.

Amazing - from 1909 to 2007 to 1799 and back to 2007 in only 4 pages!!

Is that doubling that I see in LIBERTY, Bob, or is it just the way the pic looks?
-
-
Irvin, the photo experts might disagree, but I love the way that picture looks. It makes ol' Tom look mysterious!

Chabsentia, you're almost there. Just right-click on the url (the line that you put in your previous post), then select copy(or copy shortcut). Then, in your post, click "enter an image",which is the third button from the left at the top . When the box appears, right-click on the white line and select "paste", Then "ok" . Preview your post to make sure, and you're there.

It amazes me how you manage to find all of these coins that look PQ for the grade!
How do you do it?
