or how did I get my coins back so quick?
I placed my World Modern shipment in the mail on Wednesday, February 29th and had them back in my hot little hands on Saturday, March 17th (perhaps St. Paddy helped).

Collecting coins from a country that is no longer there.
I am referring to the late Deutsche Demokratische Republik (DDR), also known as the German Democratic Republic (GDR) or for those of us that remember ~ simply East Germany. Having been in "Munchen" on the day that the Berlin Wall fell probably explains some of my numismatic compulsion. Please enjoy the attached image of a 10 mark commemorative from that different time and place.
