Is the stagnation political?
I've read over the years in Coin World many stories regarding political influence over coin design. Case in point; the demand from a State of to keep the home of Thomas Jefferson on the reverse of the nickel coin because it is a tourst attraction in that state.

That offer of $135 for a 2008 NGC PF70UC Buffalo came from a coin dealer in Fresno. He told me he'd give me the current gold price. I said, Wait this is an NGC PF70UC, and this coin is the only year a fractional Buffalo was minted. It's selling for $700-$800 dollars on EBay. His answer was if you want Ebay prices sell it there. I look at all references but no mention of an S/S variety of the 1970 Lincoln Cent, Yet I have one graded by NGC. IN PF67RD no less.
I have looked at the PCGS price guide.No listing of an S/S variety. NGC lists at as a PR67RD S/S Lincoln, but under comments they state no variety exists, and no numismedia price is assigned, but it's on their coin look-up in black and white. Why? Still not able to enter 2006 Proof dimes into the registry.
Hopefully this journal entry will light a fire in their bellies!I have asked why that was in July, I was told it will be added next week.
