New analysis of Wisconsin extra leaf quarters in Coin World.....

7 posts in this topic

There's a new article in coin world this week (June 25 issue).

Billy Crawford seems to back up Chris Pilliod's research that claims a 'single source' created the two varieties. A facinating story for thise that read the paper.......

Just finished reading it. Billy has overlay photos showing how two different sections of Washington's hair perfectly matches the shape of both the high and low leaf varieties. However, it's not a simple matter of overlaying the images and rotating them - they have to be offset from each other as well. It's claimed to be a hubbing error.

No, I'm sorry....You can get a physical subscription to coin world, or, for extra money, you can access the mag on line. I never paid the extra money !!
