Anyone Win Any Heritage Lots?

Anyone win anything?

I'm not sure why, but I was drawn to this coin. I think the shape did it. It's a Bolivia Felipe III cob 2 Reales 1656-E, KM16, choice toned VF-XF, very attractive example with bold date, mint and assayer, plus a second date and clear assayer E on the reverse.

I also picked up Italy, Venice: Leonardo Dona 20 Soldi ND (1605-12) CP, Paolucci 16, choice toned AU, very handsome example.

Looks like a pleasing original example with a nice planchet.

Hey, I have no idea if this was the one Jay was bidding on.

Heritage lets you place bids in any dollar amount as long as it is one full increment above the current bid. So if the current bid is $80 and the incriment is $5, you can bid $86 and beat out a previous bid of $85. Never bid round numbers. smile.gif

This book sold for $101 + buyers fee. It was Davenport's personal copy. They had a whole set of his books.

I've never seen the book before, so that's why I purchased it. If you were just purchasing it for reference, I'll be happy to make you a photocopy of it.

That is a pleasing cob. I'd hit it! thumbsup2.gif

You'd hit it to the tune of AU53. Grade just posted. yay.gif

On a good day I may even hit it to the tune of AU55! It would have hurt to have it come back VF30.
