COMPETION TIME..Gess the grades & win detector found Roman coins!

Hi all .. I have just sent these 15 coins to NGC and I thought it had been a while since i had run a competion .. so hear you all go..

 

Rules: -

1.You can have as many guesses as you like before NGC list the coins as Finaliesed/shiped (they have been receved & the current time for economy is 26 days)

2. The person with the closest guesses wins, in case of a tie both will recive two coins.

3. If a coin is bodybaged/not graded all guesses on that coin are cancled (hpoefully not blush.gif)

4. I will not give any more information on a coin, the picture is all you have to go on ! ( i know its hard from a picture but that's what makes it a bit of fun)

5. please use MS and PF before the number and *'s will not be counted (the chance of me getting a star is very small anyway 27_laughing.gif)

6. Have a go its just a bit of fun

Waste of money on most of them... Either common, or very low grade. COuld have had a nice coin for the cost of submission fees

Those middle XF coins are completely random guesses - I took little sheets of paper and wrote down grades and picked one grade for for each coin. smile.gif

times have dropped to 21 days now but mine are still showing up as recived.. come on NGC we have a game to play 27_laughing.gif

I think this has shown how hard it is to grade coins via scans of coins !! a lot of people were way out in the grades.. like 3. the higest grade was a 40 and the coin came back as a MS 63 WoW

 

a lot of you got the BB coins spot on so it seems easer to spot a BB coin than a grade !!

 

So who won ? well working on the averages the winner is ... dan8402 who got 3 spot on and was the closest on 3 others... Well done dan

 

as for me well i am quite please with the graded coins but how the steel cent did not grade is beond me as i could see nothing wrong with this coin under x10 magnification !!!
