There is a very well respected gentleman on these boards that I recently learned, has an exteme fondness for Walking Liberty Halves.

So, lets see some pics.

Here is one I have not posted on the boards before - 1938 D MS 63

Thanks,

Rey

Now that is a very pretty Walker. Let me test my understanding. The marks on the right obverse--are those coin edge marks from impact with other stuff in the back? It says a lot about the eye appeal that it makes those marks look minor.

Bruce - smirk.gif

JKK - Yes there are 6 identically shaped indentions in the field there but of different depth. It appears to me that it was the edge of another coin that came into contact with it.

Irvin - Very nice one.. thumbsup2.gif

Correct! These are reed marks from another coin.

Those are some beautiful Walkers. How could anybody not love the design of that half dollar? Truly one of the top designs in all American coinage.. And then look at what we have to use today. How can the mint look at themselves in the mirror?

Don't be so sure, Larry - I had two orders for it and only one client will end up with it! devil.gif

I usually do not post pics, mostly becasue no matter how hard I try they always come out blury. In this case I couldn't stop from showing off my crusties.

Next show I'll look for a 38-D w/ extra crust to finish off the ten year run!

That's a sweet 1938 Walker and image Rey! 893applaud-thumb.gif I particularly like how the reverse looks.

That's a pretty 1941 Irvin! thumbsup2.gif Very nice luster to it.

Mark, that is a very attractive 1945-D! 893applaud-thumb.gif I love the toning on it.

D.D., what a great looking group of Walkers! thumbsup2.gif I'd love to see your avatar one of these days.

Hello Folks---- Well, after over two years and gosh knows how long lurking before that---- Here is my wife's FIRST digital photos of a coin. Naturally, it would have to be the same coin as my friend, Mark Feld, just put on. But that was purely coincidental. Should be an improvement over the scanner pictures. Hope it turns out OK-----Bob [supertooth]

Bob, it's nice to see that you have the system up and running. It should just be a matter of (not much) time before you have tons of images to share with us. grin.gif
