That's the thing. These don't tone like Morgans do, because the silver purity is higher. You get some WILD colors on these, and they are (sometimes) completely natural.

You can get just about any sliver coin to tone. The question is always: Is it intentional or accidental toning?

By the way, although the coin is ugly to me, it wouldn't surprise me if it were completely natural toning. The .999 silver coins are a much different animal than the 90% coins we usually see.
