67% of the money that circulates is 100 Dollar Bills.

That would mean out of $539,890,223,079.00 of money is circulation 361,726,449,400 would be in 100's

That would be 3,617,264,494 Hundred dollar bills

Well...let's see... semi official number place the number of C-notes in circulation as of 12/31/97 at a staggering 2,915,812,497. I will assume ( I know, not supposed to "assume") older bills are destroyed as they are pulled and of course newer bills are added daily... I'll guess 10% increase per year...$352,813,312,100 give or take a couple of million. poke2.gif

According to the Treasury Bulletin, there was $364,794,437,800 on June 30. The Treasury bulletin is printed quarterly and all facts of this matter would be as of the end of the quarter. Since July 31 is not the end of the quarter, those figures would not be published by the Treasury.

What is the reference for this answer?

It cannot be correct because it is lower than the estimate of outstanding notes per the Treasury Report from the Financial Management Service.
