QUESTION: A complete set of all dates, mints, and denominations of United States coins dated 1986 consists of how many pieces? (Do not include both MS or PF of the same mint)

 

First post that correctly answers wins an April Census book.

ANSWER: 27

 

There were 15 regular types, 5 commemoratives and 7 bullion coins.

My goodness!!! I left off the Statue of Liberty $5 (P and S mints) and the silver eagles (P and S mints)! Then I re-counted my first list, which I miscounted in the first place!!! (I actually listed 23 NOT 24 coins - Argh!). Sure enough, 27! Either a great year for coins or god-awful, depending on how you look at it! laugh.gif
